Brussels, January 2015

Welcome and Happy New Year!!!

In less than a month, we will be hosting in Brussels the follow-up gathering from Cologne and are looking forward to seeing as many as you all as possible. You don’t need to have gone to the last one to come here, as the general aim is to link up and organise actions across the borders for a year of Climate Action!

The COP21 in Paris will be one of our focuses, along with the general coordination of actions against climate change in 2015 and beyond. For that, it would be great if you came prepared with ideas ready to present about actions taking place before or during the COP (make sure that you have a clear and succinct proposal so that we can hear everyone)! Together, we will try to find a way to make them visible through a strong worldwide climate action network.

The week-end will start on Friday the 30th January at 4pm and will end on the Sunday 1st February at 4pm.

Accommodation will be provided, however, it will be basic, so please bring mats and sleeping bags.

If you require extra comfort and/or need a place to stay outside of those dates, please let us know in advance and we will sort it out.

The gathering’s location is currently being debated. Two options are available so we are still trying to figure out which will be the best. This will be decided on very soon and the details will be available on this website www.climate-express.eu, where you can keep yourself updated.

Food will be provided with vegan meals and a small donations will be asked for if you are able to contribute financially. But if you can’t, come anyway and eat as much as you can! 🙂

There will be translations throughout the week-end into English, German, French and maybe more. And if you would like another language to be provided, let us know quick, quick, quick so we can find the best person for the job!

If you need any extra bits of information, you can email brussels.gathering@gmail.com where a German-French-English-Dutch speaking person will be able to respond to you.

Exciting times!

The Brussels Organising team.
